Old Southwest Reno
This area is one of the most quaint in the Truckee Meadows. Many of the homes are built of brick with large trees shading the manicured yards. You can find many Victorian style homes, and mansions perched on a cliff overlooking downtown. Many of the Victorians near downtown have been turned into professional offices. This area shows it's best in the fall.

There is plenty of shopping and services in the area, and it includes Wingfield Park downtown on the Truckee river, which hosts many performing art groups in the summer. The majority of the museums in Reno are located here, along with professional offices.

On First Street near the River Walk a new strip mall with movie theaters has just opened.
